What exactly are hair extensions?

This is adding hair to your own hair by means of fusion (strand by strand), weaving, braiding, bonding, seamless, clips and more. There are many variations to all of these techniques and stylists call these by different names. I will be educating you on the most popular terms. Extensions are usually applied by a stylist. Will people be able to tell that I'm wearing extensions?

The majority of clients want the most subtle, invisible look possible, and we are happy to accommodate. Anyone who has never met you will not be able to tell that the extensions aren't your very own hair.

What is the difference between cuticle and non-cuticle hair?

Talk about luxury! The remy cuticle hair is the top level of A+ of hairs. Each hair is hand picked strand by strand in the correct direction to last longer and be tangle free. The end of top side of the hair is wefted in some fashion to help eliminate in the shedding.The cuticle layers have not been chemically altered .

However Non-Cuticle Hair has been chemically processed to remove the first few layers and fuse the remaining layers. The roots and tips can be mixed in opposite directions.

What is the difference between Remy Hair and Non-Remy Hair ?

Remy Hair was carefully bundled at the roots from the moment it is cut from donor and maintained throughout production so the cuticles run in same direction.

Non-Remy Hair that was cut and collected from the floor so that roots and ends are mixed. To solve the inevitable tangling, the cuticles must be chemically removed. Non-Remy hair is sold in Double Drawn form

What is the difference between single drawn and double drawn hair?

Single Drawn Hair is a bundle of hair that appears like a ponytail because all the short lengths of regrowth hair are kept in the bundle. Many a novice buyer thinks the shorter lengths are split ends.

Double Drawn Hair is a bundle of hair that is all one length. There are no shorter lengths of hair present, which creates a very smooth and polished look. Due to expense and availability with Remy hair, Non-Remy Processed hair is usually sold double drawn. The term refers to a mechanical process that draws out all the shorter lengths from a bundle, and then draws again to realign the top of the bundle.

How much hair will I need?

When you buy weaving hair, the standard amount you receive is 4oz/bundle. This amount doesn't change when you order longer hair (10 inches = 22 inches). Therefore, the longer the hair, the less hair you have to work with in regards to width. Please keep this in mind when ordering longer length.

How much you buy depends on how thick you want your hair. We always recommend three bundles, both to ensure a complete weave and if there is left over, to be used for future maintenance.

For hair that is longer than 18", you will need another bundle to make sure your new install look fuller.

Can I use a hairdryer, hot rollers, hot sticks, tongs and other styling equipment?

Although our hair extensions are real hair, it is not root-based and does not receive the same nutrients and oils as your natural hair. Please be aware, the more you use heat on your hair, the shorter the life-span of the hair extensions. If you do use heat on your hair, use a low setting and apply a protectant. You can use all of the above since we only sell real human hair.The benefit of having human hair extensions is that matches your own natural hair and can respond to heat tools, elements, and human hair products including hair color the same as human hair.

Deep wave and very curly textures you may not want to brush out or it can get frizzy. This hair let air dry, use a wide tooth comb if you choose and scrunch. Please note hair will dry out sooner when using blow dryers and hot implements. Air drying is a great idea.

How do I wash them?

Please wash the hair in one direction. From top to bottom. Avoid washing hair upside down in the sink. Use shampoos and conditioners that are for dry hair and add the most moisture. Wash hair right after swimming. When brushing your hair, start from the bottom and work your way up while holding the top part to keep it from shedding or stretching. You do not have to do this often. Extension hair does not get as dirty as your regular hair. The less you wash them the longer they will last.

How long will hair extensions last?

There are many factors. First you want to buy the very best quality hair, and care for it properly so they will last longer. Each person is different, depending on care for the hair, brushing, using blow dryers and hot irons, how it was applied, swimming, how often washed, etc. Due to all these factors no one can give an exact amount of days hair will last. They can last for many months or be easily ruined if not cared for properly.

Hair extensions are washed and treated the same way as you do your natural hair. Hair extensions do tend to wear out with normal wash and wear. It is recommended that you use high quality gentle hair care products to encourage a long life for your extensions. It is good to plait your hair extensions when sleeping or exercising. It is also wise to put a leave in conditioner after washing and toweling dry, but only on the ends of the hair

Should I assume that since your hair extensions are lower priced that your competitors that they are of a lower quality?

Of course not. The hair we use is of the highest quality in the world. We are not a middle man, so we are not paying inflated prices before we bring this product to market. Most other websites are selling someone else hair extensions and they are paying a high wholesale price for the product. This is our product so we can offer direct to you at a lower price.
